OUR STORY
Since 2012, Center for Hope has partnered with the Office of Homeless Services (OHS) to provide emergency shelter and supportive services to thousands of men and women experiencing homelessness in Philadelphia.
Today, we grown our commitment to meeting people during difficult moments and helping them navigate by combining essential shelter services with individualized guidance and connections to resources that can make a lasting difference.
By providing a safe and supportive environment, we are able to give residents access to essential resources and serve as a pivotal bridge that support their path toward greater stability and independence.
OUR PURPOSE
Homelessness is rarely solved by meeting an immediate need alone.
In order to enact lasting change, it requires addressing the circumstances and barriers that make stability difficult to achieve.
Center for Hope uses an education-based approach to help participants strengthen life skills, explore employment and housing opportunities, and make informed decisions about their futures.
We put this approach into practice by implementing programs that offers practical learning opportunities and relationship building grounded in trust and respect.
OUR VISION
We envision a Philadelphia where homelessness does not define someone's future or be the end of someone’s story
Instead, it should be viewed as a turning point towards something better and a reminder that a fresh start is within everyone's reach.
Overall, our mission is to make hope, opportunity, and the pursuit of moving forward possible for more people, one step at a time.
